SLIDELL, Louisiana - Bogalusa traveled to Slidell for a rare Thursday night game against the Slidell Tigers. The Lumberjack offense couldn't get going and defense struggled to make a stop which resulted in a 41-12 loss.

Bogalusa received the opening kickoff but failed to move the ball and punted it away. Slidell began their first drive with an 80-yard bomb from Zayvien Bartee to Marcel Thompson for a touchdown and the Tigers took a 7-0 lead.

The next Lumberjack drive ended in a punt. Slidell received the ball in good field position on their own 47-yard line. Minutes later, Bartee connected with Jamar Scott for a 53-yard touchdown and extended their lead, 14-0.

The Jacks received the next kickoff with a great return by Dyron Jackson setting up the offense on Slidell's 39-yard line. However, the Jacks would fumble the ball and Slidell recovered on their own 45-yard line. After a long run by Dwayne Mills, Slidell was set up with 1st & Goal on the 7-yard line.

Trevel Watts Jr. capped the drive with a 3-yard touchdown run and extended Slidell's lead, 21-0.

After a long run by Lumberjack quarterback, Ashton Levi, Slidell forced another fumble and recovered it deep in their own territory. Slidell led Bogalusa at the end of the first quarter, 21-0.

The Jacks would finish a 60-yard drive with a 2-yard rushing touchdown by Levi. Bogalusa missed the extra-point and trailed, 21-6.

The Jacks defense would shut out the Tigers offense in the second quarter and a big stop on 4th down to turn the ball over on downs. Slidell went into halftime with a 21-6 lead.

Both teams were able to drive down field and make it to the end zone in the third quarter with the score 27-12 heading into the fourth.

With less than five minutes to go, Slidell scored on a 10-yard carry by Watts Jr. to extend their lead, 34-12. Bogalusa turned their next possesion over on downs with a stop by the Tiger defense. In the final minute of the game, Aiden Young scored on a 39-yard touchdown as Slidell defeated Bogalusa, 41-12.

The Jacks are now 1-1 and will travel back to Slidell next week and take on the Salmen Spartans (1-0).
