BATON ROUGE, Louisiana - What started as an exciting first quarter as the Grambling State Tigers matched Louisiana State's touchdown for touchdown on opening drives, fizzled out quickly for GSU as it was all the LSU Fighting Tigers for the rest of the evening.

LSU opened on offense and had no problem driving the ball down field. Jayden Daniels led the drive going 4 of 6 for 53 yards ending in a 26-yard touchdown to WR Malik Nabers. Grambling State returned the score with a 7-play 83-yard drive that ended in a 13-yard touchdown reception to Junior Waters.

It took three plays and 45 seconds for LSU to take control of the game, again. As the second LSU offensive possession began, GSU committed a roughing the passer penalty that aided an

already driving LSU to another quick score. Daniels found Chris Hilton, Jr. for a 47-yard TD

pass.

Although GSU was able to add a field goal on their next offensive possession, that was all the scoring they were able to muster for the rest of the night.

Daniels and his receiving corp completely dominated as he tossed a personal best, 5 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. All of Daniels' work came in the first thalf as his last TD toss of the night came in the 2nd quarter on a 3- yard reception to Kyren Lacy.

Garret Nussmeier took over at QB in the second half and led the LSU Tigers on a 6-play 54-yard drive which was capped off by a 1-yard rush by Nussmeier. LSU continued to pour it on, adding four more scores; 2 rushing touchdowns by Kaleb Jackson, one by Noah Cain and a safety by LSU's defense.
