Q: What is your favorite part of being a student athlete?
A: Knowing without the books, I won't be able to play. Showing the kids, it's not just about football. You have to be able to comprehend the plays and without education and the classroom, it isn't possible.
Q: What keeps you motivated?
A: My grandparents, my aunts and most of all my mother. I'm the person I am today because of these people and I wouldn't be in the position I'm in without them and their support.
Q: Who would you like to thank?
A: I would like to thank Kevin Magee for showing love and support to his hometown. My freshman year, he was at all of our games, began covering us and he's been covering us ever since. He played a major role in the supporters we've gained over the past few years because of the Bogalusa Sports Network.
Q: As a Senior, what will you miss about Bogalusa High?
A: The relationships I've built with the staff here at BHS and especially Coach Crutchfield. It takes time to build a coach/player relationship like we have. I've been under him for three years. I'm glad when he came, he showed me the right way to play football. Him and Coach Brian Williams have played a major role in my life.
Q: How do you feel about the support coming from the fans in Bogalusa?
A: Its beyond words. The way the community and people outside of Bogalusa support us is amazing. It's out of love and respect. I'm grateful for the support that we have and looking forward to seeing the stadium packed this season, home and away.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: My plan is to go to college and get my degree, but I always want to have a plan B. My plan b is to get certifications to be able to provide and be a successful business owner.
Q: What is your favorite high school memory?
A: I have two. My favorite play was my junior year when I hurdled a defender against Amite and that was the first time I saw Coach Crutchfield look at me like I was "The Man". He was excited and I could tell I made him proud on that play. The second was the game winning pass to Talik Williams against Franklinton sophomore year.
